My Little Ballerinas

I've got spring fever....so badly that I took all three kiddies out in yet ANOTHER snow storm today to the MALL OF AMERICA. Much to Abby's disappointment (and I'm talking BIG disappointment), we were not at the MOA to ride the rides, but rather to do some spring and summer clothes shopping. After realizing we were there to buy her clothes, she quickly got over her disappointment and got into the shopping mood! She is a girl after my own heart....loves to shop :-) She and Griff are all set for spring and summer now.....little Hannah is set with hand-me-downs :-) While we were there, I couldn't resist buying Abby and Hannah matching tutus. Both girls love them. Enjoy the pictures below....will get some of Griff tomorrow (he did NOT get a matching tutu :-)

Spring is in the Air.....

......I hope! It certainly seems we are on our way to spring. We had a nice day today, so we were out and about this afternoon. I'm cautiously optimistic that Hannah and Griff will continue to do well when we are outside - they seem to understand they can't run into the street and listen to me pretty well outside. I have the stroller out in full view, letting them know that if they do run from me, they have to sit in the stroller, so perhaps that helps keep them in line! They definitely do not like being trapped in the stroller, especially when everyone else is out having fun.
Enjoy the pictures from our afternoon outside. Write more soon!

I wanted to include the below picture of Griffin playing with the Learn Through Music toy he has. It was actually Abby's when she was about his age, and he has since declared it as his, and only his. It's by far his favorite toy, and he walks around the house with it almost all day. We only have two cassett-thingys for it, one of which is Dora.....and that is the one he has latched onto. We hear "let's go on a musical adventure" in Dora's voice, over and over again, all day long. For those of you who know Dora's voice, you know how grating it is :-)

Double Trouble......and Crafts

A couple of pictures of Hannah and Griff from this morning. Hadn't gotten them dressed yet, hence the onesies. Also did a craft with Abby while they were napping. Although I like to think I'm the crafty-type, I'm really not, so I really have to psych myself up when she wants to do one of these activies (which is almost daily). Anyway, this is our (my) best attempt at a princess made out of an old soap bottle, sock and tissue paper....Martha Stewart, I am not.

Easter Cookies & Eggs, and Outdoor Fun

FINALLY! A day we could go outside with a light jacket and have some fun. Yesterday was beautiful, and the kids had lots of fun running around and playing with every possible outdoor toy we have. H&G are doing better and staying on "this side" of the imaginary line I've drawn on the driveway. I didn't have to chase after them into the street once. I don't understand the fascination, but they both can walk up and down the driveway, pushing whatever they can find, a million times, never losing interest. It's just back and forth, all afternoon. Abby jumped on her bike and wanted to go for a ride. I was a little nervous, as last year she had some trouble (which is why we never got her a new one last summer and she is still riding a bike WAY too small for her).....but she rode it like she'd been riding a bike forever! We will definitely have to get her a new one this spring/summer, as she had so much fun riding it.

Abby and I made some Easter cookies the other night, and we colored a few eggs. We plan to color more eggs, but want to wait until G&G Newman are here for their visit. Abby's very excited for Easter, and the Easter Bunny. She has tried on her Easter dress numerous times, and we've practiced hunting for eggs with some plastic ones we have. She also learned the Easter Story in preschool, and won't hesitate to sit you down and explain to you exactly what the meaning of Easter is :-)

Enjoy the pictures.

Oops, we cracked a couple!!!
