A bit of security......
You know how Abby has Lamby, and she takes him everywhere (can you believe we haven't lost him?? Knock on wood.....). Hannah and Griff haven taken to their blankets, knit by Mike's mom. They carry them around the house like two little Linus's. It's very cute, except now they fall on the wood floors all the time, tripping over the blankets! They like to play tug-of-war with them, too.

I know, it's a bit early, but Abby and I have caught the Christmas bug! The twins were giving us a good nap, so we decided to haul out the tree and the decorations. We got it
up and decorated in two hours flat. Abby hung all the "fancy" ornaments, and let me do the "plain" ones - gracious of her. I'm betting that Griff will have it tipped over within five minutes of waking up :-) Abby is now busy playing Christmas now, putting her existing toys under the tree and acting all surprised....hum, an idea is forming in my mind! The last picture is a picture of Hannah with a dog my mom sent to the kids. You press a button and it breaks into a Christmas version of "Shout". The dogs ears flap up and down and he shakes. The kids all love it, but Hannah seems to have taken to him the most!

I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline.....
Abby and I went with two of our neighbors to see "Madeline's Christmas" at the children's theater today. The show was really cute, and all three girls had a great time. When we got home, she begged Mike to act out the play with her.....never mind that he didn't see it! He jumped right in, improvising all the way, and is still acting it out with her now, and it's well after dinner! Griff is finally feeling better from his ear infection (we progressed from a sinuis infection to an ear infection - and more antibiotics)...and I say that knowing that Hannah has just come down with cold number 4 today. The poor girl has the runniest nose of anyone. She looks so sad when she is sick. I'm sure Griff will pick it up......We are looking forward to next week. Mike is off the entire week, and we are off to G&G's for turkey day. Will be sure to post some pictures!

My Little Reader
The twins are napping, and Abby decided that it would be fun to read me a book. She loves to read, and I love to hear little voice when she is reading her books to me.
She had a good day at school today - she got to be line leader! And Kate's (one of her friends) grandma and grandpa were helping out today, and Abby thought it was really neat that they were there. The kids also had to say what they were thankful for...Abby told me she said that she was thankful for her whole family. What a good girl we have!
She also said to me, as we were eating lunch together, "you're the best mom I could ever hope for". She melts my heart :-)

Stats
I took Hannah and Griffin in for their 15 month check up today. Both are doing great. Dr. Busch got to see first hand how Griff NEVER stops moving. She actually moved herself in front of the sink and the cabinets b/c he kept opening and SLAMMING the doors. She got a kick out of how they seem to communicate with each other with, as she said, monkey sounds. Anyway, she says they look great. And for those of you keeping score, our little 3 pound monkey is bigger than Abby was at 15 months!
Hannah: 32 inches; 22-12 lbs (she's tall...85% percentile)
Griff: 31 1/2 inches; 23-14 lbs
The below pictures are from the weekend. H&G love to jump on the couch and the cushions on the floor.....it will be good exercise for them once winter hits us full force!

The Chick-a-Dees
Abby said the sweetest thing today, as she was giving Hannah a hug, "I didn't know that I would love her so much." Ah, we may be turning a corner with how she feels about them.
Enjoy some pictures from yesterday and today. Abby took the one of Hannah and me - she might have a career as a photographer in the future - pretty good for a 4 year old!
