We came back to snow still on the ground. We are hoping the string of 50 degrees starting tomorrow will melt it all away.
Anyway, we had a great time and can't wait for our next vacation with our favorite LA family ;-)
On our way to the "swim-in" movie at the wave pool. The kids suit up and watch a movie lounging in inter-tubes in the wave pool.
Taking the golf cart to the movie. It wasn't a far walk; the golf cart was just too much fun to pass up!
The kids watching the movie Brave in their tubes.
The wave pool during the day!
Another part of the pool....Griff and Abby are jumping in....see 'em in the back?
And there is Hannah, standing, reading to jump in.
All the kids, waiting for me to take the picture so they could go back to swimming.
We moved onto the smaller pool by our room later in the week. The water park was very busy and the pool by the room was always empty. The kids loved having it all to themselves.
Catching the football while jumping in.
Hannah swimming laps while the kids played catch.
There was a bit of game playing on the trip, too :-)
And here they are acting goofy. One of the many cacti we saw while in Arizona. This one was on the way to our guided hike.
This is Camelback Mountain. Looks like a camel lying down....see it? Anyway, it's a popular hiking destination. We didn't hike it. Looked a bit advanced for our crew. We instead hiked the mountain behind out resort, South Mountain. But we saw Camelback.
Pretty cactus on the hike.
The kids learning something from the guide.
I liked the desert and the mountains (and the heat), but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the ocean. I did. I'm a beach vacation gal at heart.
Griff playing basketball. He's in the white shirt shooting the ball.
Me and the kiddos at the smaller pool.
