Griff was out the other night playing catch with Mike, and I was trying to get pictures of them.  Hannah was being too funny that I changed my plan and starting snapping pictures of her. She's got spunk, that one :-)

Super Fun FUN Meet

Hannah had her very first FUN swim meet yesterday. She did great and won first place in both her races, the freestyle and the backstroke. Yeah Hannah!

This is a meet put on by her swim school for the younger swimmers who aren't on a swim team. I'm hoping that she catches the bug and wants to join the real swim team when she is older. She is FAST!

And......it's Still Not Ending......

The calendar says April 18, but you wouldn't know it by the blizzard we are having. It's been snowing steadily since 10am. It's now 7pm.  At least 8 inches already on the ground and more to come.  It took me over a 1/2 hour to drive home from picking everyone up from school...normally a 10 minute ride.  And it took Mike 2 hours. Easily the worst commute all winter....or spring....or whatever you call this.

No one should be shocked if we tell you that a move to a warmer climate may be in our immediate future :-)

the winter that won't end......

Fun in the Sun

We've returned from our fun Spring Break in Arizona.  It was MUCH needed. The sun, warm temperatures,  and the great friends who joined us made it a super time.  We did lots of swimming, laughing, eating, relaxing, card playing, and a little bit of hiking.

We came back to snow still on the ground. We are hoping the string of 50 degrees starting tomorrow will melt it all away.

Anyway, we had a great time and can't wait for our next vacation with our favorite LA family ;-)

We moved onto the smaller pool by our room later in the week. The water park was very busy and the pool by the room was always empty. The kids loved having it all to themselves.

 This is Camelback Mountain.  Looks like a camel lying down....see it? Anyway, it's a popular hiking destination. We didn't hike it. Looked a bit advanced for our crew. We instead hiked the mountain behind out resort, South Mountain.  But we saw Camelback.

I liked the desert and the mountains (and the heat), but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the ocean. I did.  I'm a beach vacation gal at heart. 

Our last night out. Went to a great steakhouse.

Our LA friends left a day before us, so it was just us enjoying one last day in the pools and the Arizona heat.
