Joy & Chaos & Love.....: Top 10 Captiva Moments

The kids were off of school last week, so we packed up and headed south to Captiva Island, Florida. We had a fantastic time, and loved the laid-back, easy feel of the island. The weather was perfect everyday, and we spent many hours in the pool and ocean. It was great to get away and enjoy the sunshine, because we know what is right around the corner!

Our Top 10 13 Moments of Captiva:

1. Our very own swimming pool at the beautiful house we rented. The pool rocked....we were in it from sun up to sun down.

2. A one minute walk to the white sand beach. The beach was covered in beautiful shells, many of which came home with us.

3. DESSERTS. Oh, the wonderful desserts. Captiva has the BEST chocolate cake, just ask Abby :-)

4. Fun, eclectic restaurants that had live music every night.

5. Beautiful sunsets on the beach.

6. Jet skiiing with Dad.

7. Paddle boarding with Mom.

8. Learning to dive.

9. Geckos! The little buggers were everywhere and Griff especially liked counting how many he saw each day.

10. TVs in the bedrooms. If the kids had tvs in their rooms, we'd never see them. They thought it was so cool to stay in bed to watch cartoons in the morning.....and then again when getting ready for bed at night.

11. The palm trees and tropical flowers.
12. The game room in the house. Ping Pong and two video game machines that had every game under the sun on them. We lost Mike a couple of times during the week....found him playing Astroids :-)

13. Spending time with Grandma and Grandpa M and our cousins.
