And They're Off!

We took the kids to the horse races yesterday.  They've been watching the races on tv and Mike and I thought they would love seeing some live racing.  Sundays are family days, so there were some other activities for the kids, too.  It was very fun and the kids loved betting on the horses!  We ended up losing money, but not too badly :-)  I guess picking horses based upon their names isn't the most effective process.

I got some pictures of the kids before leaving for the race track, too.  Enjoy!

Fun in the Sun

Been beautiful weather here the last week or so. We've been keeping busy playing out in the yard; riding bikes and scooters; going to baseball, ice skating, and hockey practices; and spending time with neighborhood friends. Good start to summer!


Scootering one day last week.

This is Griff's trick scooter....it doesn't go fast, but it spins like crazy.  He got it for Christmas and hated it......now that he's figured it out, he loves it, as does everyone else, including Miss Hannah.

Hannah and Griff were mad at each other this morning and wrote messages in chalk on the driveway to one another......and for all the world to see :-)

I'm mad because Griffin will not let me ride in the circle. He makes me sad. (griff made a chalk circle track to scooter around and didn't want Hannah in it)

 I'm feeling mad at Hannah because Hannah will not let me scooter.

Stone Soup

Hannah and Griffin had their Kindergarten play this week. Each year the class puts on a play for the Mom's to celebrate Mother's Day. Hannah and Griff's class put on Stone Soup.   It was very cute and the kids did a great job. There was lots of singing and each child had at least one line. After the play there was a dessert reception.  Fun for everyone!

And good golly, there are only 17 more days of school!
