Fire Hydrant Fun

We had a little fire hydrant fun yesterday.  The city was flushing all the hydrants, which made for GREAT fun for Hannah and Griff. They thought they had their own mini water park right in their street!  They were both sopping wet by the time they were finished playing. Good thing it was nice yesterday, because the water was FREEZING!

(and yes, Hannah is wearing a velvet Christmas dress.....doesn't everyone wear their finest while riding their bikes through three inches of freezing cold water?)

Basement Pictures

still lots of dust and white walls, but the basement is coming along. below are some pictures. hopefully the next set of pictures i post will actually look like an almost finished room!

and this is a desk i redid for the basement. not sure if it's going in the bedroom or the living area....it's a turquoise color and then distressed with a tea stain over it. 

Backyard Fun

Outside after dinner, burning some energy.  Hannah and Griff can't get enough of the swings. Abby is all over the monkey bars, but I didn't get any pictures of her doing her newly acquired flipping skill!

Basement is coming along. Bathroom is tiled, doors are on, and built-ins are, um, built-in :-)  Baseboard trim is going up. Hopefully painting next week.

Today.....

...Hannah, Griff and I spent some time at a park.  They had lots of fun running around. Abby was jealous when she got home and saw the pictures - she doesn't like missing out on any park fun (or the many garage sales we hit before going to the park!).  Enjoy!

Working at the Car Wash

It's a definite favorite activity for the Newman kids.....washing the cars.  Mike had them hard at work over the weekend. Each of them has a job....Hannah and Abby love the sponges and Griff is the sprayer guy!
