Griff

It was nice out yesterday, so I got Hannah and Griff outside for a bit before lunch.  They were having fun running around and playing in the leaves.  Here is a picture of Griff for your enjoyment :-)

Models Needed

The three monkeys are officially done with any modeling they were doing for me and my class.  They just about run from me when they see I have the camera in my hands!  Abby was able to spare 5 minutes for me today after school; not surprisingly, I was not able to get a picture for class, but thought I would post a couple anyway.  

Griff and Hannah spent most of the day doing their new favorite activity: washing Griff's cars in the sink in the bathroom, over and over again.  They take turns, one washing, one drying, and then they switch.  The activity came about by accident: Griff was finished with his pasta dinner the other night and picked up a couple of cars to play with while the rest of us finished. He then decided that the left-over parma-cheese on his plate would make good "snow" for the cars to "drive" through. So.....in washing the cheese off the cars, a new favorite activity was born :-)

I had to quickly submit some photos for my photography class today.....and of course Hannah was only too eager to volunteer to model, provided I pay her with a sucker....which I did :-) Here are some cute ones I snapped of her.

Back from Maui

Mike and I got back from Maui early Sunday morning....exhausted. That overnight flight is a nightmare. BUT, well worth it. We had a great time lazing by the pool and beach, taking walks, drinking fun umbrella drinks (ok, that was me, Mike drank the local brew Big Swell), and eating wonderful local fish. It was great to spend a week with our good LA friends, and we can't wait to go back in another couple of years!

The kids had a great time hanging with Grandma and Grandpa Newman, and even got to play in the snow and make snowmen the week we were gone (can I tell you how glad I was to miss this week...snow....on Oct 10.....really??).  We can't thank them enough for watching the kids and giving us this opportunity to get away a bit. It was much needed!

Cute Kids

I'm already not liking the cold weather we've been having, and it's not even cold yet!  We've officially transitioned to going outside with coats on, and every once in awhile we break out the mittens.  

I'm enjoying my photography class, but I can safely say the kids are sick of my taking their pictures.  Today Abby and I went for a walk but before we left, Abby made me promise to keep the camera at home, "no camera Mom" she told me.  I think I'm going to have to find some different subjects!
