Abby's ballet recital was today. She was so excited. She and her class did a fantastic job with their dance. There were probably 8 other classes that performed, all between the ages of 3 and 5. There was a bit of chaos, and a lot of forgotten ballet steps, but all in all, a very cute performance! We were not able to take pictures during the performance, but I did order the DVD, so I can make copies for you when I get it! I was able to take pictures yesterday, Friday, during their dress rehearsal. It was very dark in there, but I was able to get a few. Before leaving for the recital

Memorial Day
We've had a great long Memorial Day weekend. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather, and we were outside most of the weekend. Today we went to a neighboring town and watched their Memorial Day parade and dedication. Although it was the shortest parade we've ever seen (seriously, it couldn't have been longer than 7 minutes), the kids had fun, and the dedication in the park after was really nice. We then went to one of our favorite parks and the kids played for awhile before we headed home for lunch.
Abby and Mike went on a 40 minute bike ride this afternoon, which made Griff really sad. He so wanted to go with them. He's been riding Abby's old little pink bike with the training wheels and he loves it. He is quite a sight in the neighborhood, as we make him wear her old pink helmet as well - a vision in pink! Sorry, no pictures of him on the bike, but turn in later, I'm sure there will be some to come!
Didn't get too many pictures today - here are a few of the better ones. Enjoy.

Caterpillars
Hannah and Griffin are officially obsessed with caterpillars. We see those tiny, furry, black and red ones everywhere, and each time, they need to stop what they are doing, get thisclose to them, and ask the little guys how they are doing. Very cute.
I also just finished redoing a little bench I got at a garage sale for a quarter. I originally was going to put it in Hannah's room, but Abby asked for it, and since it was only a quarter (!), I told her she could have it. She wanted it turned into a bed for one of her stuffed animals ; I told her she can use it as a bed for now, but when I find her a desk, it's going to turn into her desk bench/chair.

Scenes of Late Spring in Minnesota
Ah, 85 degrees today. How I've missed the hot weather! We were out most of the afternoon splashing around in the little blue pool and infamous orange Home Depot bucket :-) Enjoy!

Even MORE Pictures in Your Future!
I'm taking a two part photography class and had the first class over the weekend. The next class is in a couple of weeks. Just based upon the first class, I should have taken this class months ago. In three hours I learned a ton, and finally feel more comfortable getting out of the Auto and pre-programed scene modes. This is a long way of telling you you'll be seeing LOTS more pictures of the kids because I'm going to be practicing and practicing (and you thought I already took a ton of pictures of the kids! Today I took over 200...yes, 200)! Below are some of the pictures I took today that actually turned out :-) Yes, most of them are of Griff - he likes having his picture taken and for whatever reason, the girls do not (although now that I look at the pictures, I have many more of Abby than I thought, so Hannah loses today, but I'll be sure to get some of her later this week!)
