Hannah LOVES Kona, always has. If you tell her to give him a kiss, she bends down and softly gives him a head-butt.....it's very cute!

A Glimpse?
Abby and I were out running errands today, and we found this Barbie Bride dress-up dress. She of course had to have it. My heart melted just a bit, she looks so adorable :-)

Let's go Fly a Kite
Abby and Mike had a fun afternoon on Sunday flying her Strawberry Shortcake kite. It only got caught in one tree, so they did pretty good!
We also had some family pictures taken Sunday morning. I'm hopeful some of them turn out! They will be posted on the photographer's website in about two weeks. Once they are posted, I'll post the link so you can take a look at them.
That's all for now.

Can You Say Six?
Hannah, our little banana, has been taking steps on her own the last couple of days. Today, she took six steps before sloooowly lowering herself to the floor (she does her best work with a spoon in her mouth). Griff is still cruising all over the house, pushing the (Hannah's) shopping cart, but has yet to try to walk on his own.

Strawberry Shortcake
Whew, Mike and I are beat. We survived Abby's second birthday bash, this one for her little friends in the neighborhood. They were all very excited to find out who the special guest was going to be. I think we did good - as soon as they saw Strawberry Shortcake walk up to the door, there were lots of giggles and squeals! I can't tell you how glad I was that Strawberry Shortcake was here.....it's hard to entertain 4 year olds for two+ hours! Safe to say, everyone had a blast. Enjoy the pictures.

When Mom's Away.....
I ran up to get Hannah when she woke from her nap this afternoon. Apparently, I left the pantry door in the kitchen slightly open. When I came down, this is what I found:
1 year check-ups
Hannah and Griffin had their 1 year check up today. They are both doing very well. It's hard to believe how much they have grown in the last year. Incredibly, Hannah is bigger than Griff. Who would have thought itty bitty Hannah would grow bigger than her brother? AND....she is 1 inch taller than Abby was at 1 year old.
Birthday Stats:
Hannah 3-11, 17 inches long
Griff 4-11, 18 inches long
1 Year Old
Hannah 21-9, 31 inches long
Griff 21-2, 29 inches long

Tornado?
Friday night we had some pretty servere weather. Both Mike and I woke up around 2:30am to the sound thunder, lightening, rain, and really strong winds. It was so loud we both thought it was best to wake everyone up (did we really do that????) and bring them into the basement. We stayed down there until it passed, about a half hour. We woke to many downed trees, ours and all over the neighborhood. The flowers I had in pots in front of the house were blown out of the pots, and the pots were in the back yard. Luckily, we lost only one tree in the backyard. Two of our neightbors lost very old, very large trees. We did lose many trees past our lot line, close to the lake. Some pictures are below. They say it wasn't a tornado, but Mike and I are not convinced.
And the worst part, we are STILL without tv.....apparently the wind moved our dish a bit, and now we are not receiving any satellite signal. Our friends at Direct TV tell us someone will be out on August 20th (are you kidding??) to hopefully fix the problem. I have a feeling our friends from the cable company will be here first :-)

It smells in here.....
We took everyone to the Carver County Fair today. I think perhaps I had the best time! They had lots of animals - cows, horses, goats, llamas, alpacas, chickens, rabbits, pigs, ponys, and a camel (seriously). We walked into the first "barn" (sheep?), and Abby immediately turned back around and said it smelled, and that she didn't want to go in. The next barn was the chickens, and they were too loud, so she didn't go in there either! We got her to look at the pigs because we told her she would see one that looked like Wilbur, but she made it around the barn in record time. She did seem to like the horses, and even asked to be picked up so she could get a better view.
Abby, of course, liked the rides the best. The rides didn't start until after we had been there about an hour and a half, so we didn't have much time before H&G needed to get home for food and naps. We were able to squeeze in a handful of rides, all of which Mike and I had to ride with her.
A few pictures are below - enjoy!

Let Them Eat Cake
So Hannah and Griff didn't seem so into their birthday cake when we celebrated on Saturday. Didn't even want to touch it, much less eat it. Things have changed. Aunt Nancy and Uncle Don brought over two cupcakes for their birthday today, and needless to say, they dug in. Griff especially! He ended up eating the entire cupcake. Hannah ate it with a little help from dad, but definitely enjoyed it as much as Griff. Enjoy the pictures. Hard to believe they are a year old.
Birthday Bonanza
We've had a busy week. We celebrated Abby's and H&G's birthdays over the weekend, and we were lucky that all our family was able to make the trip up to celebrate with us. H&G were also baptized, so we had alot going on! Abby had a wonderful time with everyone, and really enjoyed her 4th birthday party celebration. I'm not sure H&G understood what was going on, but they definitely enjoyed all the attention they received. I've posted some pictures from the weekend. Enjoy, and we'll post more fun and exciting things soon!
