Christmas Skating Exhibition

Abby performed in the figure skating club Christmas Exhibition tonight.  She did great!  The camera had a hard time focusing on her because her costume was white and she was blending into the ice. So.....the video is a bit blurry. I've attached a video of her practicing that is clearer.  She is wearing a black jacket and pink gloves in the practice video.

Only 4 more days of school until Christmas break!!!

Mini Golf

Did a little mini golfing yesterday with the kids.  The place was all decked out for Christmas, with lights on every tree.  This is one of Griff's most favorite things to do, so he was psyched that everyone agreed to go yesterday for our little family outing.  It was between this and a movie, and Griff made a pretty good case for mini golfing :-)

Finally!

We finally got to see Santa! We had to go today right after school, otherwise we were going to miss the big guy this year.  We made the drive even though the roads were slick as heck and traffic was ssslllooowww.  But we couldn't miss him!  They had a quick chat and a quick picture and that was that.   Check check.

Hockey Game

Griff had a hockey game this afternoon. He did a great job and scored 3 goals!  He's exhausted now.....4 hours of playing in the snow and then an hour of hockey. The kid is wiped out!  The snow is still coming down. Hasn't stopped all day. We are wondering if there will be school tomorrow....

SNOW!

Whew, it's coming down today!  The kids have had a blast playing in the snow. All the neighborhood kids are out so it's been a very fun morning for everyone. We are in to dry our clothes (it's a very wet, heavy snow) and for some lunch. We'll be back out after!  Enjoy!

Big Fat Fail

See these lovely faces? So excited to have breakfast with Santa this morning......

However, this is what greeted us as we opened the garage door. Snow. Everywhere. Coming down hard.

We gave it a shot, but after 10 nerve wracking minutes on the roads, as well as a news story about the blizzard like conditions, we turned around. The kiddos were disappointed, but recovered pretty quickly.  They are now waiting anxiously for Mike to get back from Target with some new sleds.  Because although the roads are too slippery to drive to see Santa, the fluffy snow and warm temperatures are PERFECT for spending a day sledding!  And the snow is suppose to keep coming down all day, so I'm thinking we may have a full day of sledding in store for us!
