Basement Updates

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  We are almost finished with the basement (and by we I mean the contractors :-).  The carpet will be installed early next week and then after that the cool tv & stereo people are coming to hook up all the fun electronics. Mike should be able to watch tv in the basement next weekend!

Cute chandy in the bedroom. Bathroom had the same one, but with the drop ceiling in there it was too long.....so off to Overstock I went yesterday and ordered a new, smaller, chandy :-)  The extra one will find a home in Hannah's room :-)

Luckiest Mom Ever

Having a great weekend with the kiddos and a super Mother's Day!

Taylor ROCKS!

Abby and I had a date last night......we went to see Taylor Swift in concert at the Excel Energy Center. SO FUN!  She put on a GREAT show.  Abby was up dancing the entire night. I have a feeling she will be sleeping in this morning - we didn't get back home until 11:30pm :-)  She's already talking about going to her next Taylor show....I'll be happy to join her again, it was a blast!

Hannah and Griff were a bit upset they weren't able to go and insisted on getting a picture with us before we left. Hannah had just stopped crying, which is why she has a bit of a silly look on her face!

Pictures of the basement to come later this weekend. We are all painted. Plumbing and electrical next week, and then carpet the following Tuesday....the end is near!

Fire Hydrant Fun

We had a little fire hydrant fun yesterday.  The city was flushing all the hydrants, which made for GREAT fun for Hannah and Griff. They thought they had their own mini water park right in their street!  They were both sopping wet by the time they were finished playing. Good thing it was nice yesterday, because the water was FREEZING!

(and yes, Hannah is wearing a velvet Christmas dress.....doesn't everyone wear their finest while riding their bikes through three inches of freezing cold water?)

Backyard Fun

Outside after dinner, burning some energy.  Hannah and Griff can't get enough of the swings. Abby is all over the monkey bars, but I didn't get any pictures of her doing her newly acquired flipping skill!

Basement is coming along. Bathroom is tiled, doors are on, and built-ins are, um, built-in :-)  Baseboard trim is going up. Hopefully painting next week.
