Pinterest Love

It's no secret at our house that I LOVE Pinterest. I could spend hours on there...not that I do that :-)  The home decor, the clothes, the funny quotes, the recipes, the recipes, the recipes!

My love of cooking and baking has exploded due to Pinterest. There are just SO MANY great recipes out there. And I'm happy to say Abby and Hannah have taken a huge interest in cooking and baking the recipes we've been finding and trying. This afternoon they made, all by themselves, S'more Crack Dip (might have to change the name :-).  It is an ooey gooey mess!  So good!  They loved it.

A Little Catch-up

We've been trying to enjoy every day we can of this summer weather we've been having...lots of beach days lately and playing outside.

Hannah had a camp this week, Lights, Camera, Action! Make Your Own Music Video. She thought it was pretty fun. Today they showed off their dance so I took some pictures.

Abby has been over at various friends' houses this week, so she's been keeping busy with that. Today Han and Griff played in the front with the sprinkler. Of course Chance had to get in there, too.

I went to Chicago over the weekend with some friends and had a blast. Lots of good food, shopping and a bit of theater :-)  The kiddos had a fun weekend with Dad: movies, mini golf, pizza, grilling out.

We are in the midst of planning birthday parties around here. Everyone is doing their own thing, so we are going to be busy, busy, busy with parties!

Great fun this afternoon with our make-shift slippin' slide!  Griff almost slid right into the street numerous times!

Fireworks!

We made it to the fireworks!  The kids thought they were super cool and informed us that we had to do this EVERY year.

Happy 4th of July

We headed to the 4th of July festival this afternoon.  Rode a couple of rides, played a couple of games and then watched the parade. Very fun.....we are trying to stay up for the fireworks this year.....hopefully we'll make it!

We've been busy creating with our strawberries....chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry smoothies, strawberries on top of cereals, and late last night and girls and I made strawberry muffins. They are de-lish!!  Our next creation is going to be a strawberry pie....and strawberry shortcake.....and strawberries and ice cream.  We will be strawberried out soon!

Off to the 4th of July celebrations later this morning and afternoon. Should be fun!

Strawberry Fields

Got up at the crack of dawn and drove 45 minutes north to pick fresh strawberries. It was so worth it!  So GOOD!  I had big plans to make some fantastic desserts, but we may just end up eating them all right out of the baskets :-)
