Hockey Game

Griff had a hockey game this afternoon. He did a great job and scored 3 goals!  He's exhausted now.....4 hours of playing in the snow and then an hour of hockey. The kid is wiped out!  The snow is still coming down. Hasn't stopped all day. We are wondering if there will be school tomorrow....

Video of Griff playing. He is on the white team, number 6. He has a white helmet.

Pictures of Griff.....

Shaking hands with the other team.

SNOW!

Whew, it's coming down today!  The kids have had a blast playing in the snow. All the neighborhood kids are out so it's been a very fun morning for everyone. We are in to dry our clothes (it's a very wet, heavy snow) and for some lunch. We'll be back out after!  Enjoy!

Yes, he's going to toss a snowball at me.

Our neighbor's dog who LOVES the snow. Bubba.

It's not really that dark, but the snow is coming down so hard it's hard to see.

Big Fat Fail

See these lovely faces? So excited to have breakfast with Santa this morning......

However, this is what greeted us as we opened the garage door. Snow. Everywhere. Coming down hard.

We gave it a shot, but after 10 nerve wracking minutes on the roads, as well as a news story about the blizzard like conditions, we turned around. The kiddos were disappointed, but recovered pretty quickly.  They are now waiting anxiously for Mike to get back from Target with some new sleds.  Because although the roads are too slippery to drive to see Santa, the fluffy snow and warm temperatures are PERFECT for spending a day sledding!  And the snow is suppose to keep coming down all day, so I'm thinking we may have a full day of sledding in store for us!

Advent Program at School

Last night was the annual Advent Program at school. It's always a mad rush to pick everyone up from school, get a quick dinner, get everyone in their fancy clothes, curl the girls' hair, and race back to the school.  We got there a 1/2 hour early, but still ended up in the "cheap seats" way in the back. Hard time seeing everyone, but we were able to hear them just fine :-)  I ended up getting up and standing in the back to take pictures and video during everyone's class performance.....Abby reminded me after the program that it was clearly stated on the program not to stand to take pictures and video tape. Rule follower, that one.

Before rushing out the door.

Abby's 4th grade class. Abby is the first row, all the way over to the left.
Hannah and Griff's class. Han and Griff are in the first row, all the way over to the left.
Aunt Nancy and Uncle Dave came to watch the kids.  It was so nice to have them there!

summer silliness

Passed!!

Whew! Abby passed her pre-preliminary moves in the field figure skating test this morning.  She's been practicing for this day the last month or so. She was a wee bit nervous this morning, but got rid of those butterflies and did a great job on the ice.  She was judged on her, stroking, spirals, waltz eight, and her forward and backward edges.  Way to go, Abby!

Hannah and Griffin waiting oh so patiently for all the testing to be finished!

Abby, doing her thing!
