A bit of the same ol' same ol' around here, hence the lack of pictures and updates. Everyone is feeling much better, thankfully, so we've been able to get back into our boring routine during the week: school, workout, lunch, rest time (b/c we are no longer napping :-( , pick up from school, dinner, bed.....and of course there are the almost daily Target and Cub runs in there, too!
I did take Hannah and Griff on a bit of an adventure the other day - we drove up to a cute little town about an hour away that has some small antique shops. I could have spent all day there, but my co-shoppers ran out of gas after two stores. In any event, the trip was successful - we came back with two chairs (one for the desk, yeah!), two picture frames and one pair of vintage salt and pepper shakers that I didn't especially want, but after Hannah broke them, I felt obligated to buy them :-)
Mike and I took the kids out in the snow this morning. We are in the midst of a snow storm, or so they say. We are supposed to get snow from now until Tuesday. It's been coming down all day, but lightly. Unless it picks up, I'm not expecting too much accumulation. Abby's BFF Lindsey came over this afternoon and they went out in the snow, too. I think what they like best is the hot chocolate they get when they come in!
Enjoy the pictures. I'm off to get H&G out of their beds - they are not even quietly resting today. They are up there singing Taylor Swift's "I Hate That Stupid Old Pick-up Truck" over and over again to each other.

Cowgirl
It's Catholic Schools Week and all week long Abby's been able to play a bit of dress up. Today is dress like a cowboy/cowgirl. She was super excited and had her outfit all planned out at the beginning of the week.
Hannah and Griff have been sick most of the week. Abby came home from school early last Friday with a bit of a fever and a cough. She was better by Sunday, but by then both H&G had caught whatever she had. They seem to have it a bit worse, as they are still coughing away and have a continuous low-grade fever. By coincidence, we were at the doctor's office on Tues for everyone's h1n1 booster (which H&G couldn't get due to their fevers) - they said it's just a virus and the cough may last for 10 or so days. I'm hoping not, b/c not only does it keep them up all night long, but Mike and me, too! Anyway, we've been doing lots of lying on the couch and not much else. Perhaps today I'll be able to get them out of the house for a bit - I think we are all getting a little stir crazy!
On another note, I recently finished a desk for our family room. I had moved one of our office desks there for our MAC, but it was a bit too big so I had been on the look out for something to paint. I like the way it turned out. Now I'm on the look out for a chair to go with it! I'll be scurrying Craigslist til I find one!

Say it Isn't So.....
I do believe H&G are finished napping....for good.....Griff hasn't taken an afternoon nap for a couple of weeks, and now Hannah is on day 3 with no nap. They will sit up there for "quite hour", but it's non-stop chatter over the intercoms.
I guess, on the bright-side, this should lead to earlier bedtimes.......we hope :-)

Visit from G&G Meiers
(arrrgghhh....I just accidently deleted everything I wrote....below is a much shorter version!)
G&G Meiers came up for a visit over New Years. We loved having them here, although I'm not sure they loved the frigid weather we had (and are still having...can I just say burr?). We played a lot of board games, cooked lots of food, shopped a bit, and made a visit to my grandma (who H&G call Grandma Great...so cute).
Abby is good. She is very excited to be back at school. She confessed to me Sunday night that she was getting a bit board at home and couldn't wait to go back to see her friends and teachers.
H&G are good.....they have both given up their pacis, although not by choice. New Years night Hannah called Mike up to Griff's room (they were bunk buddies since my mom and dad were in Hannah's room)....he bit off the tip of his paci and it no longer "worked". He didn't have another one, so it was bye-bye paci. I felt badly for him - there's Hannah lying next to him in bed with hers, telling him he's going to be alright! Little did she know hers was going away the following morning! They've both done great, only needing a little bit more cuddling at night.
Below are some pictures from the last week. Abby's actually taken an interest in photography and has kidnapped my old camera. She's pretty good with it and has taken some good shots. I'll post some of her pictures later this week.
