Mankato Competition Photos

I don't normally buy the competition pictures, as they are generally not that good, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good some of them turned out.  We bought a handful of them for Abby and posted are three of my favorites.  We are on day 2 of no school this week....hopefully they will be back tomorrow. We've missed 4 days in January due to cold already.....crazy!

More Figure Skating and BASKETBALL

A couple more pictures of Abby from her skating competition in Mankato last week.

Griff also started basketball a couple of weeks ago. Saturday was his first game. They play three on three. He was a bit nervous before the game, but by the end was having a great time.  He is on a team with all his buddies from school, so that helps.  And for once Mike isn't the coach of his team! He got to just watch and enjoy!

 Picture of the club. Those who had already competed are wearing and holding all their bling!  Some of the girls hadn't competed yet, so are empty handed. Our club did FANTASTIC and most of the girls came home with multiple trophies and/or medals.

Success at Mankato!

Abby had a figure skating competition in Mankato Saturday. She did GREAT. 1st in her compulsories and jumps, and third in her freestyle. Her freestyle program is posted on Facebook....I can't get the video to load here.  Below are some pictures from the competition.

Abby, Hannah and I went down the night before and stayed at a hotel with some of the other club skaters. There was lots of swimming, giggling and fun the night before and then a full day on the ice on Saturday.  All the club members did great and lots of "bling" was brought back home!

Cold Day #2 .....

..... still in our pjs at 2:15pm....still playing phone and computer games....still watching movies.....yesterday it was Chocolate Boston Cream Cake.....today it's homemade huge soft pretzels! Both yummy-licious!

Tomorrow....BACK TO SCHOOL!

Hockey Catch Up & Hannah

Griff's been having a great hockey season. He really loves it and doesn't hesitate to get right into the action.  It's so fun to watch him and the other kids play....they are so good at 7 years old!

And little Miss Hannah has been sleeping on her bedroom floor ever since she got her new sleeping bag from Santa and new HUGE panda bear from Uncle Dave. She's quite comfortable there and tells me she doesn't need her bed anymore :-)

Snow Day Cold Day!!

It's COLD here!  So cold that the Governor closed the schools for today.....and now our county has closed them for tomorrow, too!  We've been VERY lazy today.....still in pjs and it's almost 4:30pm.  Lots of gaming, singing, movies, tv, baking, & reading going on. I have a feeling by tomorrow the kids will be wanting to go back to school! We quickly run out of things to do inside....and there is no chance we are going outside.....20 degrees BELOW zero! Yikes!
