So Ready for Spring Break

These girls cannot WAIT to get away from this cold and snow and feel some warm sunshine!  The countdown has officially begun!

Tubing!

We braved the falling temperatures and went tubing this afternoon with the kids. The day started off quite nice, but by mid-afternoon, it was pretty windy and the temps were falling.  However, this did not stop Abby and Griffin from going down the hill over and over and over again!  They loved it, and probably would have stayed longer, but Hannah had had enough after 2 hours :-)  A hot chocolate and pretzel couldn't even change her mind.  Everyone is sufficiently tuckered out. I'm hoping for early bedtimes tonight :-)

Happy Valentine's Day from the 1st Graders

Hannah and Griffin's teacher sent out the below pictures today.  H&G have the best teacher, and the best class of kids.  They were super excited this morning about handing out their valentines to everyone. I can't wait to pick them up and go through them all.

Birthdays and Valentines

We had some very yummy birthday cake today to celebrate someone's big day :-) I've been wanting to make this cake for some time, and I figured my birthday was a good reason. It was very good; Abby said it was better than any store bought cake.  Now we have a ton of cake left over, and no real way to store it, since it's so high!

I also put together the kids' valentines while they were at school. Both Hannah and Abby were very clear on what they wanted for valentines; Griff not so much so I had more creative influence on his. They are all very excited for their class parties this Thursday.

Another BIG Snow Today

Lots of snow coming down today, and you better believe we were all out in it!  It was rather warm, too, so it was actually fun being outside. Did I just say that?????  They are predicting more tonight and into tomorrow morning, so of course the kids are holding onto the hope that school will be cancelled. We shall see :-)
