Hannah and Griffin graduated from Ninja School and are now Master Ninjas.  Don't mess with them. They're tough.

A Little Catch Up

We've been enjoying summer here.  Lots of time at the baseball field, the beach, the skating rink, scootering, walks with Chance and various camps.  It's all good, and although we spend a fair amount of time in the car each day, we are having a blast being "fun busy". Mike's been working a ton of hours the last few weeks and has missed after dinner playtime most every night.  He finally got home on time tonight and the kids were thrilled to play baseball in the yard with him. We are planning on lots of family time this weekend and hopefully the beach on Sunday, if the weather cooperates.

The Sax

Lessons started today. Yikes, it's gonna be a loud summer!

Abby is taking sax lessons one day a week this summer to help prepare her for band next year.  Today we focused mainly on how to the sax together and how to take it apart.  Once we mastered that we moved onto making noise :-)  The lesson for the week is to be able to put together the sax, make some noise, and practice the notes B*A*G.  I can't say Chance likes the noise very much....he hides in the corner when she starts practicing!

We are also spending a 1/2 hour each day on "school".   Surprisingly they all look forward to it.  We'll see how they feel about it next month!

Last Days of School

Tomorrow is technically the last day of school, but I had the camera handy so I took our last day of school picture today :-)  Abby has a kick-ball tourney all day and Hannah and Griff are heading to a park in the morning and fun games in the afternoon.  Tomorrow is clean up day and afternoon Mass.....then they are DONE!  So excited for summer!!! Me and them :-)


Not sure why Griff is looking off to the side.....Han and Griff, along with all the Kindergarteners, had to wear yellow today (maybe to keep track of them at the park??) And Abby is on the green team for kick-ball, hence the clothing choices.

Bridging Ceremony

Abby "bridged" from Brownies to Junior Girl Scouts the other night and I thought I would post some pictures.  Starting next year she will wear the green vest instead of the brown.  She has a great troop...really nice girls and families.

Weathers been super nice and we've been spending a lot of time outside. Yesterday we made out first trip to the beach....first of many I hope.  Mike and I didn't have to even get in the water with them, which was good b/c according to all of them it was cold.  It's nice they can swim and play in the water by themselves now.  I think I'm ALMOST to the point when I can bring a book to the beach :-)
