Slippin' and a Sliddin'

Was planning on going to the beach again today, but I started feeling guilty for leaving Chance home alone all day again....so we opted to bring out the slip-n-slide, sprinklers, and water guns and have some fun in the yard.  Our neighbors came over later in the afternoon and everyone had a great time.  If the weather holds, we'll be back at the beach tomorrow, but it was definitely a fun day at home today. Enjoy!

A Yellow Sunny Day and A Pink Eye

Just about a perfect day here in Minnesota.....high 70s and completely sunny.  Was planning on a beach day after Detective Club and swimming lessons this morning, but Miss Abby came down for breakfast with a very red and itchy eye.  After a quick trip to the doctor, pink eye was confirmed, as well as a recommendation not to spend all day at the beach.  So....we played outside all afternoon with various neighbor kids and also got in a quick little photo session.  Enjoy, and ignore the pink hue in Abby's eye :-)

Laura Ingalls Wilder Camp

Abby went to a Laura Ingalls Wilder camp this week and she loved it. Today is the last day and they were encouraged to dress up like Laura and her family. We didn't have anything here, but one of our neighbors has the best closetful of costumes and dress up clothes and I knew she would have what we needed....and she did!  Abby was thrilled with her look.  They are doing a little hoe-down later today for the the families and I'll try to get some pictures and post them later.

Bubbles

We are on day 3,486 of rain. Running out of things to do to pass the time. We pulled out the bubbles. Again.  I think this has been the third time this week. They were new to Chance. He really liked them. Chased one bubble all the way down the street. When he caught it, he trotted right back for more. It was pretty funny.

We are so hoping for some nice weather here soon. Or at least a peek of the sun. I'm tired of wearing a jacket. I've been wearing one since September of last year. Ugh.
